February 4, 2026 Snow Day

All Classes:  The homecoming theme for 2/4/2026 is 1 Peter 2:9 - "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Read through the verse putting your name into the verse.  

For example, "For I, Mr. Bice, am part of a chosen generation, I, Mr. Bice, am part of a royal priesthood, I, Mr. Bice, am part of a holy nation, I, Mr. Bice, am part of a peculiar people; that I, Mr. Bice, should show forth the praises of Him who has called me, Mr. Bice, out of darkness into His marvelous light."

Read it out loud several times.  

Then write a paragraph on what this means to you and your relationship with Jesus.  What does it mean to be part of a chosen generation, royal priesthood, holy nation and peculiar people?  How do you show forth the praises of Jesus? What is the significance of being called out of darkness and into His marvelous light? Are you in darkness or His light? How dark was/is the darkness? Why is His light marvelous?
